Nebula and Nova were surrendered to a Quebec shelter by their owners because they had too many pets. When a foster home became available, we were happy to get these cute sisters out of the shelter.

They came to us by way of One Last Chance, and Freedom Drivers volunteers. We’re very thankful for all the wonderful people who donate their time to transport rescued animals all across the country.

Nebula and Nova had a vet visit and were given a clean bill of health. They are shy ladies, but very curious. Nova is the braver of the two, whereas Nebula tends to run for cover whenever people come near the enclosure. They both aren’t very comfortable being handled, so their foster family are working on getting them more used to it.
These two love to make nests out of the scraps of material and strips of newspaper they are provided, and they take full advantage of all the space in the double Critter Nation cage they’re in. Favourite snacks are cucumber, broccoli, and Cheerios.

Nebula and Nova will make lovely companions for someone who is willing to give them the time they need to come out of their shells and blossom.

Ladybird recommends Critter Nation cages. They are hands down the most spacious, and best quality enclosure for small animals on the market. They come in single and double sizes, and can be modified and customized to create enrichment and provide comfort. Their design and solid manufacturing almost entirely eliminates the possibility of accidental escape. Critter Nation cages are available (or can be ordered) at most local pet supply stores.
