Simon
Simon ended up at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray. While in shelter, Simon had his neuter surgery done by students at Ontario Veterinary College. An available foster home happened to open up on the date of his neuter, so our foster went to pick up Simon post surgery. He has been recovering well in the quiet safety of his new foster home.
Simon did amazing at his first visit with our vet, who described him as “perfect”. He’s a curious boy who is affectionate and friendly towards the other kitties and dog in his foster home.
Here is what his foster family has to say about him:
“Simon is a sweet boy who is almost completely black with gorgeous auburn eyes. He can be a bit timid, but warms up quickly when you take it slow. As an older kitten, he is quite energetic and loves to play with strings or chase toys, but his favourite by far is catnip! After a good play session he is happy to curl up by the window and watch the birds or nap. He was very confident in meeting our resident dog (he was rubbing her within minutes) and he is not afraid to give her a bop on the nose when she’s being too nosey. He has been curious and respectful of our cats as well, so he’d likely do well in a home with either or both! Because of his timid nature, Simon would prefer a quieter home, since loud noises are very scarey for him (no percussionists pls).”
