Badoo

*Bumble and Badoo found their forever home with a lovely family! Yippee! *  Windsor Humane Society reached out to us when they were overwhelmed with small animals. We were able to take in Badoo the guinea pig, Dolores the hamster, and Diesel the gerbil. Badoo is a scardy-pig. Any small sound or movement makes her jump and run for cover. We’re not sure what her life was like before ending up at the shelter, but it seems she wasn’t handled very much, or she was handled roughly. Her foster family are doing their best to help her become more comfortable…   read more >>

Scruffy

Scruffy

We received this message from Kingston Humane Society: “44 rats were dumped in a recycling bin on a local trail in a small creek. Seven of them drowned, but we managed to catch and save the 37 remaining. Looking for help to place them.” How could we say no? Slim is one of the six rats we were able to take in from this group. We had Slim neutered and he was adopted to a home where they had other rats. A year later, Slim and his new cage mates were unfortunately surrendered to a shelter in Ottawa. Our adoption policy…   read more >>

*Jaq and Gus Gus have found a wonderful forever home with wonderful people. Congrats, cute guys! Lady Tremaine gave birth to seven babies on November 16th, 2021. He was bloated, sneezy and gasping for air, though he was still eating and drinking normally. He had several vet visits over the next months, and for a time, we didn’t think he was going to make…   read more >>
