Kyle

Kyle

Kyle’s foster home became his forever home! Yay Kyle! We rescued Kyle from Mississauga Animal Services. Kyle was brought into MAS after being found on the street in a box. He’s a sweet and curious little bunny and he’ll make a lovely companion for the right home. Here’s a report from Kyle’s foster home: “Kyle is quite the bold little bunny, who absolutely loves to stretch his legs and explore. At first, he took some time to settle in to his new home, and was very timid. But with patience he became extremely confident, and now loves to take on…   read more >>

Travis

Travis-photo by noahsarkphoto.com

We rescued Travis from Mississauga Animal Services. Travis was surrendered to MAS by his owners when they could no longer care for him. He’s a very friendly bunny and soooo soft! Here’s a note from Travis’ foster home: “Travis is a very sweet boy who loves, loves, loves to be petted! He will sit for as long as you are willing to pet him and “purrs” the whole time. And because he’s a Rex, he is extremely soft. At first he seemed eager to try and escape his enclosures, but now he is quite content in them but he does…   read more >>

Bartholomew

Bartholomew

Meet Lord Bartholomew, Esquire! (Bartholomew’s name was provided by Westmount People for Animal Welfare) Bartholomew came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray and was never claimed. We were happy to rescue this gorgeous little kitten from HAC. We had him neutered, and he healed wonderfully in his foster home. He’s a lively, happy and curious kitty. He gets along well with the animals in his foster home. Bartholomew has been adopted by lovely people!

Lolly

Lolly photo by noahsarkphoto.com

Lolly ended up at Hamilton Animal Control after she was left on a city bus in a carrier. We have no idea why someone would choose to abandon her in this way, but we were happy to rescue her from HAC when a foster home opened up. Lolly is a very sweet cat, and we had great hopes for her to find a forever home after being abandoned in such an awful way. But…Lolly is plagued with health troubles.  She has kidney disease, arthritis, badly healed bones from previous injuries, and she has litter box issues.  Since her rescue, Lolly…   read more >>

Pearl

Pearl

We rescued Pearl from Hamilton Animal Control. Pearl came into HAC as a stray, and it was pretty obvious she hadn’t been looked after for quite some time. She was infested with fleas, she had several burrs stuck in her fur and the end of her tail was one big matted mess. And she’s very skinny. We took Pearl to the vet for a health check, fur clean-up and spay, and other than being too thin, she’s in fairly good shape! Pearl is such a lovely girl. Sweet and gentle natured. A real purr head! She would love a quiet…   read more >>

Maisy

Maisy

Maisy was rescued from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. She’s a very sweet cat, and we’re shocked that nobody came looking for her. We had Maisy spayed, and not too long after her recovery, her foster mom let us know that she wanted to be Maisy’s forever mom! So, Maisy has officially been adopted! Yay!

Bumper

Bumper

We rescued Bumper from Hamilton Animal Control where she ended up as a stray. Bumper was wearing a collar so she belonged to someone, but even after being at HAC for more than a month, nobody showed up to claim her. Bumper has some sparse fur that was likely caused by a flea allergy, but since her flea treatment, it has begun to grow back. Bumper has now healed from her spay surgery and is ready to find her forever home. Here’s a note from Bumper’s foster home: “Bumper is a sweet little cat who loves to play , eat, sit…   read more >>

Margot

Margot @ foster

We rescued Margot from Hamilton Animal Control. Back in mid-August, Margot fell about 70 feet from a balcony. Animal Control took her to the vet where they found that she had broken some of her back toes and had cracked/knocked out a couple of teeth. She stayed at the vet for a short time, then she was transferred to Animal Control for cage rest and to wait out her stray time. Margot is microchipped, but the owner the chip traced to had given Margot away and didn’t have the contact info of her new owner. Nobody came forward to claim Margot,…   read more >>

Pepper

Pepper @ foster

* Pepper found his forever home with lovely people! * We rescued Pepper from a high-volume shelter in Quebec. Thank you Critter Cab volunteer drivers for transporting Pepper to us! Pepper was found as a stray, but he certainly belonged to someone because he’s a very nice bunny, and he’s already been neutered.  Pepper had a cyst on his neck that our vets removed, and he healed wonderfully from his surgery. Pepper is a very sweet and friendly guy. And how can anyone resist those ears?! We’re so in love… Pepper was adopted back in October to a lovely person,…   read more >>

Pebbles

Pebbles

We rescued Pebbles from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. When we rescued her, Pebbles’ nails were very overgrown and her teeth were horrendously rotten. But she was a happy, energetic girl, and wagged her tail through her whole rescue and vet visit. She had dental surgery to remove the rotten teeth, and she came through the surgery like a champ. Pebbles had some healing time in her foster home, and now she’s ready to find her forever home! Pebbles would do best in a home where her people are around her most of the time….   read more >>

Copper

Copper @ foster

* Copper found his forever home with lovely people! * We rescued Copper from Hamilton Animal Control. He came into HAC as a stray. Copper’s owners were notified that he was at the shelter, but they never showed up to claim him. We placed Copper in a foster home where he has a big back yard to explore and a senior dachshund to be friends with. A few days later, Copper went into the vet for a much needed dental surgery. While trying to intubate, the vet ran into a problem. Turns out Copper had a toonie size piece of bone…   read more >>

Tiny Tim

Tiny Tim rescue day

August 23rd, 2016 So sad to report that Tiny Tim passed away early this morning. Whatever illness he had contracted was just too much for him and he went peacefully in Jennifer’s arms. We’re thankful that Tim was with Jen when passed, and not in a cage all by himself. Thanks to Jen and to the rest of The Cat Clinic staff for being there for him. Rest in peace little Tim… August 22nd, 2016 A member of the public found Tiny Tim all alone on the street, so they brought him into Hamilton Animal Control. He waited out his…   read more >>

Reeses

Reeses

We rescued Reeses from Hamilton Animal Control where she found herself as a stray. Aside from being gorgeous, he’s a sweet and gentle kitty. We’re shocked that nobody came looking for her if she truly is a stray. Reeses foster home turned into her forever home. Yay Reeses!

Pablo

Pablo

Pablo came into Hamilton Animal Control as a stray. He quickly became an HAC staff favourite because of his sweet nature. We were happy to spring him from there when a foster home opened up. He went straight to the vet where he had a check-up and had his ears cleaned. There weren’t any ear mites, but his ears were quite dirty. He wasn’t very impressed about having his ears cleaned, but the vet got a lot of gunk out of his ears that must have been irritating him for quite a while. He’s otherwise a healthy kitten! Pablo is…   read more >>

Oliver

Oliver

We rescued Baxter and Oliver from Hamilton Animal Control. We’re not sure how they became separated from their mom, but they were too young to be away from her when they were brought into HAC. Thankfully we had a foster mom available who is experienced in raising kittens of this age. Baxter and Oliver are now big enough, and healthy enough to find their forever home! Baxter and Oliver are very bonded to each other, so they must be adopted as a pair. They love playing and running and wrestling. But they are also expert snugglers with their foster people….   read more >>
