Susan
Sweet Susan ended up at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray in very rough shape. She was matted, had an eye infection, and she didn’t want to eat. Susan was seen by a vet when it was discovered that she had blood in her urine and was experiencing pain. Pain medication and medication to manage a urinary tract infection were started, but Susan continued to struggle.
When Ladybird was contacted about helping Susan, we were happy to get her out of shelter and into the care of our one our amazing vets. Blood tests were normal, and xrays didn’t show anything of note that would be causing the the blood in her urine. There were no signs of pyometra or a troublesome pregnancy. Her illness is a bit of a mystery! Hopefully time and observation will give us some answers.
Susan will be moved to a loving foster home once she’s feeling a bit better. We’re all rooting for this beautiful girl’s full recovery and will continue to post updates about her progress.
Welcome to Ladybird, Susan! We’re so happy you’re here.
